Install MySQL on Mac OS X 10.6 and add StartupItem
Installing MySQL on Mac OS X 10.6 took a bit of digging around. Here is a consolidated tutorial. I am leaving out sudo commands for convenience. Use them where you don’t have permission.
# create the directory where you will keep your MySQL binary distribution
mkdir ~/src
cd ~/src
# download mysql binary distribution from http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/

Peaks Over Poverty seeks to bring rural people and outdoor enthusiasts together to promote healthy living and the conservation of mountain resources. I am developed a website that will let their climbers raise money online and blog about their climbing experiences.

I served as a PHP consultant for six months working on various bugs and feature requests for the popular Alternet website.
MySpace Statistics
I wrote scripts to look at over 2 million MySpace pages and extract data about over 80,000 bands on MySpace.
College Television Awards
While under employment with Ruckus Networks, I implemented an administration website for the College Television Awards. This included maintaining a video entry database and judging system.
